Pelikan M101N Tortoiseshell Brown Special Edition

Pelikan are reviving one of their most historical 1937 models - the M101N

Due to the sinmple yet elegant design, the Tortoisedshell Brown is the most sought after pens till date. Due to the materials used, no two pens will look alike. Every piece is unique in it own right.

Minor improvement was make to the new pens. Unlike the original M101N, the sleeve and cap are now made of cellulose acetate similar to Pelikans current pens. The original M101N was made of celluloid.
In order to keep the vintage look, the Pelikan 14 carat gold nib is engraved in the same style as the original M101N.

The rings and clip are 24 carat gold plated and the filler knob, grip section and top of the cap are dark brown

Where on earth can you find the smallest parquet made of Indian satinwood?

The Year 2008, Graf von Faber-Castell did it again. They used Indian satinwood, more commonly known as the lemon wood, to craft the Pen of the Year 2008. There are no fewer than 84 individually hand-made tiny satinwood rectangles for the filigree herringbone pattern of the Pen of the Year 2008.

The layout pattern is one of the well known herringbone pattern, which is clever choice for a lot of the inlay work of choice pieces of furniture, among them Countess Ottilie's writing desk.

The numbered edition is crowned by a chessboard-facted citrine gemstone, platinized fittings and an 18-carat bicolour gold nib, carefully run in by hand.
